What is
the
www.thephotocardplace.com?
We are a company dedicated to creating unique and custom photo cards for all special
occasions. All
designs utilize your photographs to create a one-of-a-kind card for your
occasion.
-
What type
of pictures do you accept?
We prefer digital pictures either from a digital camera or a
scanner. The file should be saved as a .jpg or .bmp type file and be at
least 300dpi. If you do not have a digital camera or scanner, you
may send your photo(s) to us and we'll take care of scanning it.
Your original photo will be returned with your order.
-
How do I
send my picture to you?
You may send the digital file to us via email at
info@thephotocardplce.com or contact us for our mailing
address so that you may mail your photograph. When sending
hardcopy photos, it is always best to use a photo mailer or an
envelope with a stiff piece of cardboard enclosed.
-
What
pictures work best?
The best pictures are those in which the subject is well-lit, in
focus, and can be well seen. Close-ups are usually best. We will
contact you if we feel that the photograph may not work well with
the card design.
-
Can you
touch-up the photograph?
We will ensure that your
photo looks as best as it can be. This includes red-eye
removal, a certain degree of sharpening, lighting, and much
more. We will also take care of cropping your
photograph to fit the card design that you have chosen.
-
Can you
convert my color photograph to black & white?
Yes, if you would prefer your photograph to be converted to black
and white for the card design, we can convert the photograph for
you.
-
Can I use
a photograph taken by a professional photographer?
Yes, but we will need a written release from the photographer. Most
photographers have a form they use for this purpose.
-
Can I get
a sample of your cards?
Yes, please see the
sample request page for more
information.
-
Do you
have designs for adoptions, twins, multiple births, or other
specific situations?

and multiple births. In addition, we have created designs that are specifically for
twins, triplets and more.
-
Is there
a minimum number of cards I will need to order?
Yes. We require a minimum order of 20 cards per order.
-
Will I
receive extra envelopes?
You will receive 2 extra envelopes per every 25 cards ordered.
-
Do the
envelopes require extra postage?

will require additional postage. Please refer to the US
Postal Website for current postage requirements at www.usps.com.
-
Can I
preorder envelopes?

expecting a child and would like to address the envelopes before the
birth.

of receiving your photograph(s). You will then have an opportunity
